As the midpoint of the school year approached, Webster CSD began preparing all aspects of the proposed 2023-24 district budget that will be up for a community-wide vote on Tuesday, May 16. The district conducted a ThoughtExchange that welcomed feedback from all stakeholders when planning a budget for a school district that serves 8,100 students and 1,600+ staff members. The feedback presented in this report will help us develop a budget that reflects the Webster CSD community's thoughts and input for our students. We appreciate everyone’s input.

The ThoughtExchange asked, "What are the most important things to consider as we begin to plan for our upcoming budget?" The exchange opened January 5 and closed January 31. The Summary Report contains our community's feedback regarding this question.

In accordance with New York’s adopted state budget, for the 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023- 24 school years, each school district receiving a foundation aid increase of more than: (i) ten percent; or (ii) ten million dollars in a school year shall, on or before July 1 of each school year, post to the district's website a plan by school year of how such funds will be used to address student performance and need.  Public comment from families, staff, and all other community stakeholders on this plan is welcome, encouraged, and appreciated. All comments on the proposed utilization of foundation aid for the 2023-24 school year should be submitted via an online form linked here: Link by Friday, June 23, 2023 at 5 p.m.  A link to the summary plan can be found below.
