Aquatic Programs
Instruction, Certification, Exercise, and Fun for the Whole Family
The Webster Aquatic Center offers family events, Watercize programs and swim lessons. All programs are open to the public, although WAC members received discounted rates. Registration for classes is through the Webster Central School District Community Education Department, see registration link below.
If you have an idea for a program that we don't currently offer, let us know. New programs will be developed based on demand.

Upcoming Programs:
Water Safety Instructor Certification (W.S.I.):
This program introduces swimming and water safety programs and will cover setting up and teaching swim lessons, lesson organization, and lesson completion requirements as set up by the American Red Cross.
To be eligible for the class, participants must possess Level 4 swimming skills and be at least 16 years of age by the completion of the course. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Water Safety Instructor Certificate as well as Fundamentals of Instructor Training. Lifeguard Certification Course:
This is a 31-hour American Red Cross training that prepares lifeguards with skills and knowledge necessary to keep patrons of aquatic facilities safe in and around the water. This class includes CPR/AED and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer. Participants must attend all dates within the session to complete your training and at least be 15 years of age. No refunds given once students begin. Please bring a suit, towel, lunch each day to class.
Prerequisites: You must be at least 15 years old to take this course. To ensure that participants are able to complete the course, candidates are expected to pass the prerequisite swim test. The test will be held prior to the start of class. See below for swim test requirements.
A 300 yard swim using front crawl and breaststroke.
A 20 yard swim, feet first surface dive to retrieve a 10lb brick, swim another 20 yards back to wall, & climb out in a time of 1:40 or under.
Tread water for 2 minutes with no hands.
Exit pool from the water to the deck with out ladder or assistance.
