Schroeder Theater Company Brings “The Outsiders” to the Stage
Whether it is Tulsa, Oklahoma in the 1960s or Webster, NY in 2026, there has always been and there will always be "outsiders"—outcasts, underdogs, and those who are just simply misunderstood. This spring, the Schroeder Theater Company invites audiences to experience the gripping reality of these underdogs by welcoming The Outsiders to the stage from April 23-25.The Outsiders brings the beloved 1967 classic novel of the same name to life. The story follows Ponyboy Curtis (Evan B.) and the rest of his Greaser gang (Johnny - Rowan M.; Dallas - Brody W.; Darry - Brock B.; and Sodapop - Lukas V.) as they try to survive the hardships of growing up, all while attempting to de-escalate rising tensions with their affluent rival gang, "The Socs." This poignant coming-of-age tale tackles violence, heartbreak, and tragedy head-on as both Greasers and Socs are forced to learn that nothing gold can stay.
