Universal Free Meal Program for All Students!

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we would like to share some important and exciting news regarding our meal program.

For the 2025-2026 school year, the Webster Central School District has been approved to provide all students with one FREE breakfast and one FREE lunch every school day, regardless of family income. This initiative is part of a statewide program to ensure all students in participating schools receive free meals, with the state covering the cost for those not already eligible.

Understanding the Free Meal Program

While all students are receiving a free breakfast and lunch, it's important to note that this program does not include additional items. A la carte items such as snacks, extra milk, ice cream, or a second lunch will still be available for purchase. These items can be paid for using your student's meal account, which is managed through MySchoolBucks.

Why We Still Need You to Fill Out the Application

Although your student will receive free meals, we still strongly encourage all families who think they might be eligible to complete the federal Household Income Eligibility form. It is part of the National School Lunch Program, which is a federal program administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Your participation is vital for additional benefits, such as:

  • Waivers for Advanced Placement (AP), SAT, and ACT examsdecorative art

  • Summer EBT benefits

  • MCC dual enrollment tuition waivers

  • Reduced rates on internet services

  • Drivers Education reduced fees

  • Musical Instrument rental fees

  • Chromebook Insurance payment plans

How to Complete the Application

The form can be filled out electronically through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal under the meal benefits section, or you can find a printable version on our district website. We appreciate your prompt attention to this, as your participation is crucial for supporting our district and your student's educational experience.

If you have any questions or need assistance with the application, please do not hesitate to contact our Food Services Department, (585) 670-5104.
