Monroe County Sheriff's Teen Police Academy
The Teen Police Academy is designed to give teens across the the county an introduction to law enforcement's role in our community.  The training will include classroom instruction, actual role-plays and rigorous physical fitness training.  There is no charge for this week long summer program.  Please pick up your application in the student center.  There will be an interview process once your applicaiton has been accepted.  Please return your application to the Student Center by March 6, 2020.

University of Rochester Summer Research Program
Laboratory for Laser Energetics holds a summer research program for approximately 12 highly motivated Rochester-area high school students entering thier senior year.  To apply fuill out the aplicaiton at the link below.  Deadline to apply is March 10, 2020.

Attention Juniors - New Visions field trips
There are two field trips in February to help you decide on courses for next school year.  If you are interested in the medical field, the New Visions Medical Program might be for you.  The field trip is on February 5th.  This program is by an application and acceptance process.  Passports are available in the Student Center.  The next program is the New Visions Education program.  If you are interested in  a career in the educational field, this program may be for you.  This program has an application and acceptance process.   For this field trip, you have to have your own transportation to Thomas high school on February 3rd.  The bus leaves by 8:00 by the north cafeteria doors.  You have to be at Thomas by 7:50am to board the bus.   Pick your passport in the Student Center.
