Traveling 9/11 Exhibit Makes Stop at Klem South
Klem Road South Elementary School had the honor of being a stop on a meaningful history lesson. The fifth graders had the powerful opportunity to experience the traveling exhibit, "America United: The Days After 9/11." The display introduced students to the history of September 11 in an age-appropriate way, highlighting the incredible compassion, unity, and service that followed. Highlights of the visit included: viewing a detailed model of the Twin Towers, listening to a brief student audio recording of the event, and touching authentic structural steel from one of the buildings. The Klem South fifth graders brought so much respect to the display, asking thoughtful, poignant questions of the docents, as our nation prepares to mark the 25th anniversary of the event.
