Reminder: August Dates Announced for Student Chromebook Distribution (Grades 6-12)

In an effort to support continued equitable access to increased learning opportunities, engagement, collaboration, and creativity for all Webster CSD students, the district provides an electronic device for each student in grades 6-12 as part of the Transforming Learning Through Technology student device initiative (approved by Webster CSD’s Board of Education in April 2016). 

As part of the district’s Transforming Learning through Technology initiative, student devices are replaced every three years. Since this is the third year of the program, all Webster CSD student devices will be replaced. Students have already turned in their old Chromebooks and chargers.  Students’ new Chromebooks will be available for pick up at Willink Middle School’s cafetorium, 900 Publishers Parkway, during the following days/times:
Weekday Date Hours
Monday August 19 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday August 20 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday August 21 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Thursday August 22 8:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Friday August 23 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Parents may pick up their student's device without the student present, however students MUST have a parent/guardian present for pick-up.

If you are unable to attend one of these dates to pick up your child’s device, please email  or call 585-217-5400, and we will schedule an appointment after August 23.

As part of the Transforming Learning through Technology initiative, Webster CSD will continue to offer all families a Chromebook User Agreement that ensures protection of the device if it is accidentally damaged. The cost for the Chromebook User Agreement Policy and Protection Plan is as follows:
Students 2019-2020
12th grade students $10
11th grade students $20
6th through 10th grade students $30

The Chromebook User Agreement Policy and Protection plan is attached. As of July 22, you can pay online for the Chromebook user agreement by visiting You can also pay in person during the Chromebook distribution dates. The district accepts the following forms of payment: check, cash, or credit card.

If a  student leaves the district prior to the end of their senior year, or before the completion of the 2021-2022 school year, the assigned student device must be returned. At the end of the 2021-2022 school year, all devices will be collected and families will complete a new user agreement and protection plan which will cover the next three year cycle of the student device.
