Erin Land Named New WCSD Director of Elementary Education

Webster Central School District is pleased to announce that Erin Land, current principal of Klem Road South Elementary School, has accepted the position as the new WCSD director of elementary education. Mrs. Land will begin her new role in the district on July 1, pending approval by the board of education during its February 8 meeting.

Mrs. Land brings a breadth of experience to her new role as director of elementary education, working in many leadership positions within WCSD over the past 18 years. She has served as the principal of her beloved Penguins at Klem Road South Elementary School since fall 2012. Prior to that, she was Klem South’s assistant principal (2009-2012). Mrs. Land was also WCSD’s co-director of the district’s former teacher center (2006-2009), helping to transition the center to the current Professional Development Center (PDC). While co-director of the PDC, Mrs. Land also served as the district’s K-12 library curriculum coordinator. From 2001-2007, Mrs. Land was a school library media specialist for both Webster Schroeder High School and Klem South. She began her career with WCSD in the fall of 2000, when she was hired as a fourth grade teacher at Klem South.

A graduate of St. John Fisher College, Mrs. Land earned her Master of Library Science from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. She earned her School Administrator and Supervisor and School District Administrator Certifications from SUNY Brockport. Mrs. Land and her husband, Caleb, live in Rochester with their two children, Ada (3), and Isaac (1).
