Webster Competitors Excel at National SkillsUSA
Eastern Monroe Career Center (EMCC) students achieved an impressive milestone at the 2026 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, this week. All 10 students who competed at the national level finished among the top 10 in their events, including Webster CSD's four competitors.The Automated Manufacturing Technology team earned third place nationally, with each student receiving a scholarship award sponsored by the Gene Haas Foundation. Joaquin O. and Jayden T., both of Webster Schroeder High School were on this team, along with Rush-Henrietta CSD student Reed O.
Seven additional EMCC students competing in Cosmetology Senior, Customer Service, Extemporaneous Speaking, and TeamWorks earned SkillsUSA Skill Point Certificates, recognizing them among the top 10 competitors in their events. Webster Thomas High School student Paige S. achieved this honor in Customer Service.
Each student earned a spot at the national competition by winning first place in their New York state SkillsUSA contest.
Congratulations also to the EMCC educators who prepared students for competition and traveled alongside them throughout the SkillsUSA season. Their guidance and support played an important role in helping students succeed on the national stage.
