Hello Schlegel Road Families,

April Showers have certainly brought us May flowers. We hope that you are able to spend some family time out in the sunshine!

When the weather is this nice, please continue to send your child to school with the proper clothing and shoes for outdoor recess. It is very important that we continue to remain safe on our beautiful new playground equipment.

A special thank you to Jamie Widell, for organizing such a wonderful Mother/Son Pancake breakfast at Applebee’s on Saturday, May 4^th. Her attention to detail with the photo booth and gorgeous flowers had all the moms and sons in smiles, as they left the event. Thank you to Jamie and to all the volunteers that made the morning very special.

Our Mother’s Day plant sale will take place during all lunch periods on Thursday and Friday, May 9^th & 10^th. All plants are $.75 each. All moms love flowers, please consider allowing your child to purchase the plants and deliver some smiles!!!

Thank you to Kari Tuchrello and Sarah Montemaro for organizing such a wonderful Teacher Appreciation week. All of our teachers at Schlegel Road are amazing and we wish we could honor them every day. Thank you for always going above and beyond for our students!!!

Our last Schlegel Road PTSA meeting of the year is on Tuesday, May 14^th. We will be discussing end of the year activities and begin planning for the next school year. We love to hear from all of the families, this is your school and we want to provide events and activities that are important to you. Please join us in the library at 7:00 p.m. As always, there is free babysitting in the gym provided by our wonderful Girl Scout troop and leaders.

The Board of Education Election and Budget Vote will take place on Tuesday, May 13^th. Please view the “Meet the Candidate Night” presentation, either on Channel 15 or on the Webster Central School District Website. It’s very important that we make an “Informed” Vote during this election. The polls are open from 6:00am-9:00pm at Schroeder. Thank you for always supporting the Webster Central School District.

Our 5^th graders are starting their activities to celebrate their time at Schlegel Road. They are all special to us and we are definitely going to miss them! Let’s cherish the next month with them and wish them well as they begin their new path at Willink Middle School, in September. The 5^th grade team made up of teachers, parents and students is amazing! We hope you enjoy all 5^th grade activities planned over the next month!
