The German American Partnership Program is a well-established program with well over 700 partnerships between German and American schools since 1972. Each year more than 10,000 American and German students cross the Atlantic with their teachers for a three week visit. This is not a tour, but rather an opportunity for language development, learning about another culture, having a school experience and a homestay. The most special feature of this program is the people who offer their hospitality: the families, the teachers in the schools, the students, and the members of the community. The GAPP exchange flourishes on their cordiality and creativity. It widens your horizons and provides worldwide friendships which often last a lifetime.
