Using Google Apps and Moodle
Google Apps
1) To set up a Google Aps account, go to the partner page (http://partnerpage.google.com/webstercsd.org)
2) Use first initial last name to sign in. Password: changeme - DO TWICE
3) Create new password – REMEMBER IT!
4) Features: mail, calendar, documents, sites. CLICK SITES
5) CLICK Create new site
6) Give the site a name
7) On the next line, CHANGE URL from the site name you just chose to your first initial last name
8) Leave the next two lines (categories and description) blank
9) CHANGE bubble to ONLY PEOPLE I SPECIFY
10) CHECK next bubble: LET WHOLE WORLD SEE
11) Choose a Theme
12) CLICK Create Site
13) CLICK CREATE PAGE (upper right)
14) NAME the page – see page 17 for the pages you are required to add – leave bubble where it is (Top Level) – CLICK Create Page
15) Always CLICK Save Changes – upper right
16) To manage the website after creation: CLICK upper right More Options – drop down to Manage Site. Here you can change theme, background, etc.
17) To edit a page you’ve created previously. CLICK Edit Page on the site itself – upper right
18) To complete proposal template: CLICK Documents (upper left)
19) CLICK on the NEW pull down menu – CLICK From Template
20) CLICK Use This Template. PASTE your background essay in the BACKGROUND section.
21) When you finish the template, CLICK File, then CHOOSE Download File As. CHOOSE Word and save the template onto your hard drive or flash.
22) SUBMIT that template on MOODLE.
Moodle
1) To set up a Moodle account, go to the moodle page (http://moodle.websterschools.net)
2) Use school ID to sign in. Password: changeme - DO TWICE
3) Scroll down until you see Senior Project. CLICK
4) On the left, CLICK Profile. CLICK Edit Profile and change your email address to something that works. This will prompt the system to send you feedback once your proposal is read.
5) See # 1: Submitting Your Proposal.
6) CLICK Click Here to Submit Your Proposal
7) Scroll down until you see Submission Draft. Below that, BROWSE to find your template on your hard drive or flash. CLICK Upload this file.
