A Message from Mr. Swinson
Hi Spry families,
As we begin the second half of the school year, we look forward to continuing to support student improvement and success. We would ask families to monitor your child's homework, grades, and work routinely at home. Please communicate with their teacher(s) and counselor if you notice any concerns. We want all students to achieve high levels of success.
Another area that we would like to support is improvements in student behavior. In coordination with all four secondary buildings (Spry, Willink, Schroeder, and Thomas), we have implemented Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (P.B.I.S.)using the acronym C.A.R.E, which stands for Cooperation, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. These supports are our expectations for student behavior in all areas of the building. We went into Physical Education classes this week to teach this to students as well as information on the morning show. Posters outlining these expectations will be displayed around the building. Please check the newsletter for more information.
Finally, you will notice that we have developed (in coordination with our PBIS and Shared Decision Making Team) a new school logo. We will now share the same logo with Webster Schroeder and have the same school colors. This will help to improve the connection for students in our 6-12 grade program.
